Our first trip to Lake Þingvallavatn this year was made early. In mid-May, a friend and I went to the lake. We walked out to Leirutá early in the morning and fished there. We didn't last long, however, as the water was dreadfully cold. To make a long story short, we didn't catch anything, and when it started to snow, we had had enough and walked back. This fishing trip was made just a little too early.
