Despite the mishaps of 2009, the Selá river was visited again in the summer of 2010. This time, the river level was low, and the weather was beautiful. My companion and I decided to drive as far as possible into the valley and walk from there until no further progress could be made. This was a very sweaty walk. Meanwhile, the third person in the group tried his luck lower down in the river. Way in there, there are quite a few promising pools, but only one of them turned out to hold fish. Four salmon were lying by a red rock, and one of them accepted what I had to offer. A worm from the Laugarnes neighborhood. After noon, our companion strolled in there and caught two of these salmon, but the fourth one accepted nothing. Toward evening, the fourth salmon was caught lower down in the river. They were all small but where was the char? No one had seen a single char in these three summers.
