The salmon are arriving late to the river that shall not be named. Therefore, I was not particularly optimistic that the stroll I took with my brother-in-law up along the river would yield much. It was still July, so the salmon were surely few in number in the river, if any had arrived yet. We strolled up along the river, and in a pool two or three down from the top, my brother-in-law managed to hook a salmon of about six pounds. That turned out to be the only bite of the trip.
